Welcome to our world

Currently based in the Capital Region of NY, Heather Hartz-Roberge is an illustrator turned ceramic artist. Growing up, Heather lived in a household where everyone worked with their hands - gifts were always handmade as were clothes and toys.

When she struggled finding her path in life, her mom pushed her to follow her passion for the arts; supporting and encouraging her to explore every medium. Along with her deep love for the arts, she enjoyed burying herself in books. Sharing these books with her sister felt like going on an adventure, escaping together from the mundane. In addition, each summer break meant a two-week camping trip, a chance to unplug and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Heather’s focus is to bring her illustrations to life in functional forms, making tangible art. Taking inspiration from myths, legends, nature, the occult, folk art, and past experiences. When she’s not working in her home studio or as the Ceramics Department Studio Coordinator at the Art Center of the Capitol Region she’s spending time with her husband, raising their incredible daughter, and two cats.
